zweidimensionalen Normalverteilung plotten...

ich steh grad aufm Schlauch... ;(

Formel = Die Dichtefunktion der zweidimensionalen Normalverteilung
obere Grafik = exp(-(-2*x*y+x*x+y*y))
untere Grafik = exp(-(x*x+y*y))

(mit gnuplot)

In der Formel ist ja letztendlich der hintere Term (Roter kreis) für die Glocke zuständig. Alle anderen Dinger drumrum sind ja nur Skalare, die wie der Name schon sagt das ding nur rum skalieren würden, an der Grundform aber nix ändern.

Ich reduzier das also jetzt einfach mal auf exp(- (xx - 2xy + yy).
Was stört, ist der mittlere -2xy Term. Lass ich den weg kommt sowas wie ne Gauss Glocke raus. Mit dem -2xy Term da kommt das raus was man im oberen Bild sieht, was an sich auch einleuchtet, da -2xy mal positv und mal negativ wird. Das ganze in die exp-funktion gestopft gibt halt so einen komischen Schlauch.

Wo ist jetzt mein Denkfehler?

der term 2xy ist ja auch falsch

gemeinsame verteilung von x und y wäre f(x;y)=f(x)*f(y) also

K* (e^-(x-mx)^2)*(e^-(y-my)^2), wobei K 1/sqrt (2Pi)/sigma und mx, my die jeweiligen mittelwerte.

ok gilt glaubs nur wenn x und y unabhängig sind


ich glaub du kommst auf das (x-y)^2 weil x und y vielleicht irgendwie abhängig sind vonneinander. zb y=x+w wobei w eine normalverteilung ist. (zb weisses gaussches rauschen)

also ma genauere aufgabenstellung plz^^

Also je nachdem wie du die Korrelation ro aus [-1,1] wählst sind prinzipiell beide Grafiken möglich. Einmal unkorreliert (runder Hügel), einmal 1-korreliert (lange Wurst).

ähm, die obige formel hab ich von wikipedia abgetippt (bzw hier das bild rein kopiert). Soll heißen ist falsch?

Die obere von Worf ist mir auch geläufiger. Steht auf de.wikipedia auch direkt über dem, was ich oben gepostet hab.

edit @worf: deine untere ist doch genau meine formel da oben, nur dass ich halt alle konstanten raus geworfen hab...

nochma edit: ich depp, jetzt seh ichs. Ich hab vorne Ro 0 gesetzt und dann im hinteren Term auf 1. ...ok dann muss ja Quark raus kommen. Wenn schon 0 dann überall. Setz ich es hinten auf 0 fällt der Quatsch ja auch raus und es kommt genau das raus wie es soll.

lol nochmal edit: Wenn Ro 1 oder -1 ist.... dann ist doch 1/2(1-roh^2) undefiniert !?

Ja auf das rho wollte ich hinaus.
Wenn rho +/- 1 ist, dann ist die entsprechende Kovarianzmatrix (bzw. Korrelationsmatrix) singulär, inbesondere gilt det = 0. Damit ist die Matrix nicht invertierbar, weil die zugehörige lineare Abbildung nicht-trivial in den Kern abbildet, insbesondere also nicht injektiv ist.

Für eine perfekte Korrelation gelten die multivarianten Formeln also nicht, weil du dann auch keinen genuin multivariaten Fall hast, denn mit der Wahl von x hast du auch schon y (bis auf Skallierung) festgelegt.

man kann einfaches auch kompliziert ausdrücken in mathematik^^

Ich sage das was (einfach) und das warum. Nur das was ist nicht immer hilfreich, vor allem ist das was noch keine Mathematik. Erst die Begründung macht es zur Mathematik.
