Same old story and in fact the same old players.
The only winners from this match were Germany, who deservedly won, yet again on English soil, with a much depleted squad and the FA, who trousered millions in gate receipts.

When will we ever learn, money is at the root of all that is bad and sad about the 'beautiful game'. Believe it or not, football is a team game which requires skill to play it at the highest level. Unfortunately the whole 'Team England' ethic is based around who you know rather than what a player is capable of. How sad is it when a 'retired' player is dragged (all be it willingly untill his 100th cap) halfway across the world to play? If only the manager/coach took a really good look at players available in this country instead of going on expensive 'jollies' to the US, he might actually start earning his money and reputation.

typisch englisch. die ham echt nen knall da drüben. freut mich, dass sie sich so ärgern, obwohl eigentlich unnötig und unsachlich. das schmliimste aus englischer sicht ist imho, dass die deutschen wirklich das singen gewonnen haben. was ist da los in wembley ?

Ich wollte heute mit Engländern drüber reden. Aber die haben sich gar nicht aufgeregt. 30 sec "das liegt an den Spielern aus Newcastle" Thema vorbei.

Und the Sun hat sich irgendwie auch nicht richtig aufgeregt. Ein paar unvorteilhafte Bildchen von ihren wieder mal gescheiterten Graupenkickern. Die Feststellung, dass der Torwart ein Fliegenfänger ist und der Trainer weg muss. Ich habe mir echt mehr Weltuntergangsstimmung erhofft?

Haben die etwa seit unserer tollen WM Angst uns zu beleidigen wie sonst immer? Ich vermisse das irgendwie ... :evil:

Naja, die wussten vorher schon, dass ihre Mannschaft nicht so toll ist (so wie die EM Quali lief) und das Torwartproblem ist auch keine Neuigkeit.^^
Ich glaube es war für manche nur eine herbe Erkenntnis, dass sie zwar Lehmann auspfeifen können, aber immer noch den schlechteren Torwart haben.^^
