ThinkPad-Laptops/Leistung

So, ETH/Studium geht bald los und da brauchts jetzt auch einen Laptop.

Die Projekt-Neptun-Laptops für die Schweizer Hochschulen sind draussen und jetzt ist natürlich die Frage, was kaufen?

Ich würde eigentlich gerne einen Laptop haben, der meinen Desktop-PC an LAN's ersetzen könnte (u.a.). Das heisst aber, dass er auch mit Spielen wie AoE3 zurecht kommen muss.
Nicht sehr wichtig für mich ist das Gewicht bzw. die Grösse.

Eigentlich sieht ja die Variante für 2650.- FR (~1700€) sehr gut aus, aber womit ist das ca. vergleichbar (GraKa). Ich habe im Moment eine GT6600N und möchte nicht wirklich etwas schlechteres haben für ein Notebook, dass 3-4 Jahre halten sollte...

Hab in meinem Laptop ne FireGL3200. Die Age3-Beta lief, also zumindest keine crashes usw. (Überragende Framerates kriegste damit halt nicht.) Obs mit der Final läuft kann ich jetzt auf die schnelle Leider nicht probiern, kein Windows mehr drauf o_O

ein thinkpad ist aber auch nicht zum zocken da - wer wert auf qualität legt kommt trotzdem nicht dran vorbei :D

ich hab bei der letzten aktion auch ein think pad gekauft (auch das für 2650) aber noch nie drauf gezockt (ausser poker ;))

ich find den fingerprint als anmeldung kuhl :)

Was ist daran kuhl? Funktioniert scheisse und die ganze thinkvantage software frisst ressourcen ohne ende. Ausserdem bekam ich oft Fehler, wenn ich das notebook aus dem suspendmodus wieder erwecken wollte. Plötzlich kannte er weder Fingerabdrücke, noch Benutzerkonten.

Hab den ganzen Mist deinstalliert und läuft nun viel besser.

Privat würde ich mir ohnehin was anderes kaufen und zum zoggn taugen Thinkpads nicht. Dann eher einen Dell, natürlich nicht Latitude ...

jo zum zocken taugen sie eher weniger. aber zum arbeiten sind sie top. das mit thinkvantage hat bei mir immer reibungslos geklappt - naja gut ich kanns nicht wirklich beurteilen weil ich windows samt der recovery parition recht schnell nach /dev/null geschickt habe. der fingerprint ist ne lustige spielerei - aber ehrlich: lieber hab ich n passwort im kopf als das mir wer den finger abschneidet ^^

würde mir jederzeit wieder ein thinkpad zulegen, hab den kauf keine sekunde bereut.
