Hey all. I suspected there would be some differing opinions on some of these changes. But before getting too worked up about the next big screw remember Thunder's disclaimer here that there are many more changes coming in this patch than were listed in this thread. This is just a taste, really. In response to the civ balance concerns, I'll let you know that among the unlisted changes are increased starting crates to Dutch and Russians. In reponse to the TC hitpoint change, this was done due to some overly effective doubleteam strategies in team games.

The 60 seconds for mercs really makes more of a difference than you'd think...there have also been a few minor tweaks here and there on some of the other mercs(i.e. black riders) to lower their effectiveness just a bit.

Haha, looks like I spoke too soon. This is why we try to avoid talking about balance stuff. The black Riders weren't changed, we had oringally looked into doing something to them, until we realized they lose to virtually EVERYTHING per cost. Their real problem is the same as all of the mercs, you get too much power too fast - the 60 seconds should "nerf" them the same.
