Quake 1 und Anno 1602 auf WinXP

Wollte auch nochmal ein paar alte Games spielen, doch irgendwie gibts immer Probleme mit winXP. Bei Anno bleibt er schon bei der Installation hängen und sagt:
Dateiname ungültig oder zu lang und bricht die installation ab. Quake hab ich auf der Platte, aber es startet einfach nicht, kommt immer nur kurz ein DOS Fenster und dann ist Ende im Gelände. Windows 95/98 Kompatiblitätsmodi haben nichts gebracht.

Also ist noch gar nicht so alt, imho W98 Zeit, Quake1 müsste 95 gewesen sein, sollte aber auf jeden Fall in Dos spielbar sein. Naja hab mir das Programm gesaugt und mount c c:\quake1 erstmal eingetippt, aber die ganzen .exe funktionieren nicht, entweder heisst es will not run in DOS mode oder Load Error: No DPMI

ANNO 1602 Win 2000/XP Patch

Für die DOS-Sachen: Zur Not etwas wie Virtual PC benutzen. Damit kann man einen virtuellen PC laufen lassen, gibt auch noch verschiedene andere. Unter dem Link gibts auch ne' 45(?)-Tage Trialversion.
