Well, here is some info on the multiplayer side of the game which i found in a few files (alot of the info came from help strings)...
1. Found the website that will be associated with AOE3 Online (not sure what the site will contain, but it will definatly have soemthing major todo with aoe3 online)
http://www.zonesas.com/
2. You will be able to view player stats in multiple ways. Yuo can view by team or by individual. You can then View the stats by a graph or by written stats
3. You can create teams which can include your firends. So you can challenge other teams. Then both your team and the other team are on oppisite sides (so you and friends can all be on the same side)
4. You can view game information while browsing games, such as...
Number of Players
Game Type:
Map Type:
Visibility:
Handicap:
World Resources:
Co-op Game:
Restrict to Common Language:
Team Shared Resources:
Restrict Number of Pauses:
Locked Teams:
Allow Cheats:
Record Game:
Team Shared Pop:
Co-op: (is Co-operative on or off)
6. There will be an online friend system similiar to the one used in AOE2 (on the zone) but eith more options features
7. The online browsing system will feature "a message of the day" feed so any important info on AOE3, you'll find it out when you login to play online.
8. Win conditions will include...
Supremacy
Conquest
Lightning
9. Ther will be a full stats, rank and tracking system. So you can view the top-ranked players, search for player stats, find out what game a player is in, aoe3 community stats.etc
10. You can invite players into your games, and players can ask if they can join (very good for managing rooms so poofters dont f-it-up)
11. You will be able to kick and ban players from games.
12. There are to types of games you can make, they are, public games and private games. Public games get shown in the game list, while private games get populated by inviting players
13. You will be able to play multiplayer with 'computer' players online (so you and your friends can go 4v4 with the computer, you can set difficulty aswell (ofcourse)).
14. The 'text' that shows the ping will change colour depending on how good the ping is. (im guessing under 200 is green, 200 - 500 is yellow and 500+ red)
15. Accounts will be verified using a cd-key. So, too bad to whoever wants to downlaod aoe3... (and is ES are smart they wont ask for a serial during installation, if they did that then a keygen could be easily made)
Anyway... Thats about all. All that information is most likely 100% correct. Very exciting stuff... Loosk like this will be the best online system ever...
(i will add extra info i find extra info)

There is no conquest or lightning. There is deathmatch supremacy and nomad though. Also clan support and ladders.

<DeaconEire> First off, I really like the Demo and what we have seen of Age of Empires III! The game looks absolutely awesome! My first question regards the online content: ... What, in your oppinion, are the biggest changes and (hopefully) improvements from ESO I to ESO II? ... done
<Bigdog> It works
<DeaconEire>
<Bigdog> In a more serious vein, we built ESO2 for the more hardcore online crowd. ... AOM's ESO was built with the specified goal of drawing in casual gamers online. ... We had endless arguments about how many buttons were too many for a new user, etc. ... When we started Age3, we just went down a different path. We built the UI and experience for people like Sheriff, ... We knew those guys knew what they wanted, so at least it was a clear vision. ... Oddly enough, the big "scary" hardcore-focused UI for ESO2 tested way better with all users than the AOM ESO UI. Go ... Functionally, there are a lot of new features for ESO2... Ladders, Clans, Avatars, Awards/Medals, etc. ... The HomeCity stuff takes a very prominent role, obviously. ... We've also tried to move away from the single-rating number. ... That's a hugely controversial move, but we're going to try to put a better rating system in place than using ELO. ... We will definitely have a way to have ratings, but it won't be like AOM. Our thought process there was that if we started with AOM's system, we would be stuck with that. ... There are a lot of things we don't like about AOM's rating system, so we felt that we needed to try those out initially. ... If we didn't start with the new thing, we'd be stuck with the old familiar thing (and all of its well known issues). ... Phew, that was long. I'll stop Don ... e
